Once a month, we will be welcoming a renowned author. The author will give a talk on the theme and\/or angle of his or her choice.<\/p>\n<div class=\"galerie numerotee\">\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr class=\"clear\" \/>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"tinymce\">\n<p>These topics will be presented in the language preferred by the artist.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Thursday 14\/12 &#8211; Masterclass with Beno\u00eet Peeters (sign up <a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/qWkXPhQkjKU5YL8i8\">here<\/a>)<\/li>\n<li>Thursday 11\/01 &#8211; Masterclass Jean-Christophe Deveney (sign up <a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/PSqSLWWfrZeQnFwW6\">here<\/a>)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>BENO\u00ceT PEETERS &#8211; 14\/12<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cbbd.be\/uploads\/images\/flash_infos\/casterman-020920-benedicte-maindiaux_large.jpg\" alt=\"casterman-020920-benedicte-maindiaux.jpg\" width=\"200\" height=\"240\" \/><\/p>\n<h6><em>\u00a9 Photo Casterman \/\/ Benedicte Maindiaux<\/em><\/h6>\n<p>Beno\u00eet Peeters, born in 1956, is a writer, screenwriter and editor.<br \/>\nHe is a Herg\u00e9 specialist and has written three books about this topic: <em>Le Monde d&#8217;Herg\u00e9<\/em>,<em> Herg\u00e9 fils de Tintin <\/em>and<em> Lire Tintin, les bijoux ravis<\/em>. Both a theorist and critic with a wide range of interests, he wrote numerous essays on comics, scripts and collaborative writing, as well as on Jacques Derrida, Paul Val\u00e9ry, Alain Robbe-Grillet, S\u00e1ndor Ferenczi, Jir\u00f4 Taniguchi and Chris Ware.<\/p>\n<p>His long collaboration with cartoonist Fran\u00e7ois Schuiten led to the creation of the <em>Cit\u00e9s obscures cycle<\/em>. Fifteen albums have been published so far, winning several awards and they have been translated all over the world.<\/p>\n<p>Beno\u00eet Peeters is passionate about stories in all their forms and has collaborated with other cartoonists such as Aur\u00e9lia Aurita and Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Boilet, photographer Marie-Fran\u00e7oise Plissart and filmmaker Raoul Ruiz.
