Cartoonist, inker, comic book colorist and illustrator Jandro GONZ\u00c1LEZ was born on December 14, 1985 in Valencia (Valencian Community). He studied at the San Carlos Faculty of Fine Arts of the Polytechnic University of Valencia, graduating with a degree in Fine Arts and Professional Technique of Animation, Arts and Industry. He completed his training in Barcelona, where he now lives, studying comics and scriptwriting at the renowned Joso School of Drawing, Comics and Visual Arts.<\/p>\n
For several years, he worked in advertising illustration and animation. He has made several animated shorts, including the stop-motion film Vicentade Sam Orti (Conflictivos Productions), which was nominated for the Goya Prize in 2011.<\/p>\n
His work has won prizes in numerous comic strip and illustration competitions in Catalonia. In 2012, he received the Connectat al C\u00f3mic grant sponsored by CaixaBank, and in 2013 he was the winner of the Cornell\u00e0 Comics competition in the best script category.<\/p>\n
In 2017, he published his first graphic novel, La Vampira de Barcelona, with Norma Editorial, based on a script by Miguel \u00c1ngel Parra and Iv\u00e1n Ledesma, a work that earned him a nomination for Best New Spanish Author at the 36th Barcelona International Comics Fair in April 2018. The album will be published in French under the title La Vampire de Barceloneaux \u00c9ditions du Long Bec in May 2019, opening up the Franco-Belgian market for further projects… but with other publishers after the small publishing house closes in January 2020.<\/p>\n
In July 2019, in Spain, he takes part in the collective work Diferente published by Planeta C\u00f3mic.<\/p>\n
In March 2020, Gl\u00e9nat publishes the historical one-shot L’ombre rouge scripted by Jean-Pierre P\u00e9cau (published in Spanish under the title La Sombra roja by Norma Editorial in June 2021).<\/p>\n
In September 2023, Le Lombard publishes the thriller Le Myst\u00e8re du col Dyatlov, scripted by C\u00e9dric Mayen (published in Spanish under the title El misterio del paso Di\u00e1tlov by Norma Editorial in February 2024).<\/p>\n
In October 2024, Delcourt publishes the historical one-shot Marcel Cerdan, le c\u0153ur et les gants, based on a script by Bertrand Galic.<\/p>\n
