In <strong data-start=\"171\" data-end=\"179\">1977<\/strong>, he came to life in <em data-start=\"200\" data-end=\"222\">Le Trombone Illustr\u00e9<\/em>, the legendary supplement of <em data-start=\"252\" data-end=\"260\">Spirou<\/em> magazine, under the guidance of <strong data-start=\"293\" data-end=\"311\">Andr\u00e9 Franquin<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"316\" data-end=\"333\">Yvan Delporte<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"338\" data-end=\"1004\">First published in <strong data-start=\"357\" data-end=\"365\">1979<\/strong> by <strong data-start=\"369\" data-end=\"387\">Fluide Glacial<\/strong>, at the initiative of <strong data-start=\"410\" data-end=\"420\">Gotlib<\/strong>, and later by <strong data-start=\"435\" data-end=\"445\">Dupuis<\/strong> starting in <strong data-start=\"458\" data-end=\"466\">1980<\/strong>, the series <em data-start=\"479\" data-end=\"496\">Germain et nous<\/em> developed over <strong data-start=\"512\" data-end=\"525\">14 albums<\/strong>, with a succession of co-writers (<strong data-start=\"560\" data-end=\"612\">Thierry Culliford, Yvan Delporte, Serge Honorez\u2026<\/strong>) shaping and maintaining the series\u2019 unmistakable adolescent spirit. Funny, sarcastic, or poetic, the single-page gags capture snapshots of everyday life. Through the adventures of <strong data-start=\"794\" data-end=\"830\">Germain, Pilou, Sophie, Luc-Luc,<\/strong> and their gang, the entire <strong data-start=\"858\" data-end=\"867\">1980s<\/strong> unfold before our eyes, set to the rhythm of the <strong data-start=\"917\" data-end=\"934\">Bowling Balls<\/strong>, the real-fake pop band created by Fred Jannin and his accomplices.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1006\" data-end=\"1195\">In <strong data-start=\"1009\" data-end=\"1017\">2004<\/strong>, with the series <em data-start=\"1035\" data-end=\"1051\">Que du bonheur<\/em> (<em data-start=\"1053\" data-end=\"1065\">Le Lombard<\/em>), readers rediscovered an older <strong data-start=\"1098\" data-end=\"1114\">Germain &amp; Co<\/strong>, now facing new life challenges in tune with adulthood and the changing times.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1197\" data-end=\"1615\">Alongside his many other artistic projects (<em data-start=\"1241\" data-end=\"1256\">Froud &amp; Stouf<\/em> with <strong data-start=\"1262\" data-end=\"1281\">Stefan Liberski<\/strong>, and numerous collaborations with <strong data-start=\"1316\" data-end=\"1330\">Gilles Dal<\/strong>), <strong data-start=\"1333\" data-end=\"1348\">Fred Jannin<\/strong>, a multi-talented artist, has established himself as a major media figure (<em data-start=\"1424\" data-end=\"1467\">Les Snuls, Jaadtoly, La Semaine Infernale<\/em>, etc.).
