Pépite Blues is a general bookstore that honors Afro-literatures from around the world. Works produced by Africans, Afro-Europeans, Afro-Americans, Afro-Caribbeans, but not exclusively.
Pépite Blues aims to become a place where writers, artists and citizens meet and exchange around cultural productions and artistic creativity in their diversity. It is a cultural space in its own right.
A bookshop with a cultural space
The bookshop is the heart of Pépite Blues. It will offer novels, essays and works of humanities, but also comics and children’s literature.
The cultural program of Pépite Blues will be divided into several parts: literary meetings, exhibitions, cultural and artistic activities. The bookstore will live to the rhythm of artistic encounters.
– Cycles of literary meetings: we will receive writers each month to talk about literature, culture and society.
– Exhibitions: photography, sculpture, painting, digital art, we want to offer the public a diversity of artistic expressions. The idea is to create a dialogue between literature and other art forms.
– Workshops: many workshops with artists will be offered for all audiences.
The bookstore wishes through these activities to promote citizen participation and local cultural development. Do not hesitate to contact them if you have any suggestions!
